Deacons likewise must be dignified, not double-tongued, not addicted to much wine, not greedy for dishonest gain. They must hold the mystery of the faith with a clear conscience. And let them also be tested first; then let them serve as deacons if they prove themselves blameless. Their wives likewise must be dignified, not slanderers, but sober-minded, faithful in all things. Let deacons each be the husband of one wife, managing their children and their own households well. For those who serve well as deacons gain a good standing for themselves and also great confidence in the faith that is in Christ Jesus.

Church history

Relevant Church existed in the heart and mind of Pastor Chris long before it was officially organized.  Through prayer and so many confirmations from the Lord, Relevant Church was birthed.

Relevant Church was organized with four people.  They were Christopher Wheatley, Michele Wheatley, James Purvis and Antoinette Patrick. 

​

The church was officially launched on May 18, 2014 at Eagle Ridge Conference Center in Raymond MS.  The 1st official church service was held on June 1, 2014 in the Highpoint Office Complex on Highway 18 in Jackson MS.  In July 2015, the church moved to our present location in the Swinging Bridge Market Center in Byram MS.
